Caledon Regeneration Partnership have been awarded funding under the DARD Rural Micro Capital Grant Programme 2015 for the provision of a defibrillator in the village, a particularly important facility in an isolated rural community. There has been much enthusiasm among the local community, several of whom have indicated their interest in undertaking training. A meeting will be held on Wednesday 10th February at 7.00pm at Caledon Courthouse to get the first training courses organised.
Although the provision of the unit is funded by DARD with match funding from Caledon Regeneration Partnership, funds still have to be raised for installation and training.
If you are interested in receiving training or sharing any fundraising ideas, please come along to the meeting.
